Citizens on Patrol Program (COPP)

Citizens on Patrol is a community safety initiative supported by Manitoba Public Insurance. Manitoba is home to 48 COPP groups with over 1000 volunteers throughout the province.

Members of COPP are trained observers who liaise with local law enforcement and administration to address issues of concern. The three main goals of COPP are deterrence, education and awareness. COPP aims to assist in increasing awareness and providing crime prevention information to local citizens, businesses and community organizations.

In  2016, the Citizens on Patrol Program celebrates 25 years in Manitoba.

Anyone 18 years of age or older is welcome to join West Shores COPP. Please consider becoming part of COPP.   More information about the provincial program is found on the website – http://citizensonpatrol.mb.ca  Contact West Shores COPP directly via email at westshorescopp@mymts.net
